Starting with a photograph from a quiet place in a natural or constructed environment, my images respond to the senses and the spiritual aspects of places. Informed by my career as an architect, I am always looking for interesting play of light, texture, massing, and scale while creating mid-range vignettes referencing life’s unique character.
Always seeking opportunities for integrated, not applied, art I collaborate with clients and design teams to tailor imagery for a specific environment. By considering how art will be viewed I am able to develop the best means to attract the eye from many vistas, play with the ever-changing light, and relate to a place’s people and activity.
My artwork is printed on metal, fin art papers, canvas, and silk. Projects have also included imagery developed for sandblasted glass, mass printed media, books and digital media presentations.
